Built in 1935 this theatre has remained in family operation every since. Serving the Kitsilano area, it is a well patronized cinema featuring second run films. With a balcony still in use, the Hollywood Theatre features a double bill every evening.

The Hollywood Theatre was closed on May 29, 2011, but re-opened in 2013 as a special events venue, playing classic movies. It was closed again on November 22, 2013.
