This is a beautiful small town with surrounding tea gardens, hills and Gorges in Jalpaiguri Dist,[ North Bengal], West Bengal, India. Original inhabitants are Rajbanshis with a similar cultural background like cooch. Due to massive influx during partitation people from the then East Bengal out numbered the original inhabitants. Now there is a mixed culture of Rajbangshi and East Bengal.
The place is famous for highest jute production and marketing, the biggest HAT[ whole sale bazar]in Asia. Nature has added the highest degree of beauty to the place.

  • Dhupguri is a beautiful place. Some one km away from the town is Purgamagurmari, stands st. Paul's school run by the carmelite fathers. They serve the poor tea garden children through education and health care.
