The Daju Plateau - A Shangrila valley! - consists of several small villages inhabited by the Naxi people surrounded by the large mountains of Yulong and Haba. Through the plateau goes the Yangtse river. Buses arrives from Zhongdian almost every day. If you cross the River you can reach the Tiger Leap Gorge to the southwest or the Haba and Sanba villages to the northwest. A wonderful place for hiking.
