Regarded among the world's great hotels, the Williamsburg Inn is the crown jewel of Colonial Williamsburg Hotels. The Inn pampers each guest with royal treatment (the Williamsburg Inn was the choice for overnight accommodations for the May 2007 visit of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and her husband, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh). For many, it is a destination in itself. Gourmet dining, an outdoor pool, clay tennis courts, award-winning golf, and a fitness club complete with spa services.

The Colonial Revival-style hotel was designed c. 1937 by Perry, Shaw & Hepburn and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The design was modeled after an existing 19th century in in Monroe County, West Virginia.
