  Most likely connected with the cooling system for the power plant. Possibly the hot water exhaust; and the cool water intakes being by the beach just to the northeast.

  you were nearly correct, its actually the cooling water inlet and the the two streams on the beach are the outlets, if you look slighty along the beach to the left you will spot another pair which are for the now demolished 'A' station
