WWII coast artillery gun battery armed with two 6-inch shielded barbette carriage guns. All support roooms, i.e. ammunition and powder rooms, power generator,and operations rooms were located in a series of tunnels. Battery was part of the permanent defenses of the Harbor Defenses of Kaneohe Bay.
Also served as the filming location for the Dharma Initiative Station "The Tempest" on the TV show Lost.
One of the barbette mounts is used to house displays and memorabilia from all of the movies and TV shows filmed at the ranch and is a stop on the ranch tour.
