Highfield House,Stanley, Tasmania. Designed 1831-2 by Henry Hellyer (1790-1832), surveyor and architect for the Van Diemen's Land Company, which had been granted 250,000 acres by George IV in 1824. Built 1834. It overlooks "The Nut", a 500 ft high volcanic plug. Preserved as a historic site - see www.historic-highfield.com.au
