Dunrobin Castle

 castle, interesting place

Dunrobin Castle is the historical seat of the Earls and Dukes of Sutherland. Though Dunrobin's origins lie in the 1300s, much of what is seen today, including the gardens, is the Victorian-era creation of Sir Charles Barry, the architect of the Houses of Parliament in London. Among the castle's 189 rooms is a museum with items including ancient Pictish carved stones. Falconry displays are held daily on the castle grounds.
