Memorial Coliseum is an indoor arena located at the Rose Quarter area of Portland, Oregon, United States. It was constructed from February 1959 to November 1960 at a cost of $8,000,000. The coliseum, designed by Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill, has a cuboid shape, with a glass and aluminum curtain wall exterior facade with an ovular concrete seating bowl in its interior. There is permanent seating for 9,000 spectators. The capacity is expandable to 14,000.

The Memorial Coliseum was the home of the Portland Trail Blazers of the NBA from 1970 until 1995. It had several other tenants, including the Portland Winterhawks of the WHL (1976-present), the Portland Buckaroos of the WHL (1960-1975), the Portland Power of the ABL (1996-1998), and the Portland Pride of the CISL (1993-1997). The arena has also hosted the 1965 NCAA Men's Final Four, the 2005 Big Sky Conference Basketball Tournament, and the 2007 Davis Cup Final.

The Memorial Coliseum was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 10, 2009.

  • I...[sniff]I remember when I was little I went here to see Monsters Inc. On Ice and this is all I remember:I remember going in the enterance and I saw a circle-like hall,and then going to a stand getting popcorn and soda for my mom,and I believe it was Coca~Cola,but I'm not sure,and then I went throught the hallway and then I'm in and then to your right,in that area I found a seat.I got scared through some of the parts.That's all I remember.
