  • Yyteri is very popular among Finnish wind- and kitesurfers. It is a long north-south-directed sand beach. The water in Yyteri bay is very shallow, which makes it a good spot for beginners. During summer season there are quite a lot of swimmers though, so beware and be aware. Yyteri Surfcenter (which, by the way, is the only official Surfcenter in Finland :)) can be found near the beach hotel. Best waves come to Poliisinlahti or Pollari (a bit north from Yyterinlahti) as the locos call it. Best wind directions: W, SW, S.
