Zoopark Tirana (Albanian: Parku Zoologjik i Tiranës) is a public zoo located in Tirana, Albania. It is the only zoo of its kind in the country. Built during 1960–1961, the zoo is concentrated in an area of 6.09 ha (15.0 acres) in the southern part of the city, between the Grand Park and the Botanical Gardens.

    10 years (1999) ago this zoo had more than 60 species of animals which today (August 2010) there are no more then 13 species left. The tiger and other rare animals have died of starvation in complete isolation in a a concrete room equaling a living room and a bedroom combined. Surprisengly the Lions have survived. What a pitty!! New ideas are given out for a renovation...............
