Ventspils - Tukums-2 line
The Stende railway station was opened in 1901, with the opening of the Ventspils — Moscow railway line. During World War I, Stende became a railway junction due to the construction of the Stende — Ventspils narrow-gauge railway line. In 1923, a new building was erected on the site of the station that was destroyed during World War I, according to the design of Arthur Medlinger (1880-1961) and still exists today.
