train station, railway platform, head house (train station)
Oru railway station is a railway station in the Oru district of Kohtla-Järve, Ida-Virumaa. Oru railway station had two low platforms with lengths of 110 m and 220 m.[1] In December 2014, a new 550 mm high short (35 m) inter-railway waiting platform was opened, which, unlike the previous ones, is located about 300 m towards Tallinn.[2] The station can only be entered and exited through the C-area of the train. The railway station was built in the 1870s. The station building,[4] built in 1960, is architecturally unique, as the building combines elements of different styles. Until 2010, the Oru–Vaivara railway section was double-tracked.
