Situated on the southeast corner of the busy intersection of Island Avenue and Lindbergh Boulevard, Penrose Plaza is an outdoor shopping center in the Eastwick section of Southwest Philadelphia.

Currently, it is anchored by Kmart, Shop-Rite supermarket, KicksUSA, and Dollar Tree. Other merchants include Blockbuster Video, G+G and Avenue fashions. Miscellaneous services operate within the main building in addition to the retailers, including a branch of Wachovia Bank and Novacare Rehabilitation Clinic.

Several fast food restaurants take up space in their own buildings lining the property's easternmost side, including Burger King, Wendy's, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut. Additionally, Subway and Popeye's Chicken restaurants operate in the plaza's main building.

In addition to various bus routes serving the area, SEPTA's Route 36 Subway-Surface trolley line finds its westernmost terminus at the plaza at its Eastwick station.
