The George is the only galleried Coaching Inn still in existence in London. It was built in 1676, though it was originally established in medieval times. Formerly known as The George And Dragon, the inn is owned by The National Trust. The George was visited by Charles Dickens and is mentioned in his novel Little Dorrit.
