Historical Hotel Nevada.
Stay in the same room as Ingrid Bergman, Mickey Rooney, Stephen King and many other old Hollywood stars have done before you. This "museum" hotel offers gambling, great food and an amazing array of knick-knacks and antiques.

  • Not a very good place
  • I beg to differ, Guiliant, it's just great -- very atmospheric. The bed in my room was nearly as large as the room itself, and the "bathroom" had clearly been partitioned off after the fact -- obviously at one time this had been a "bath down the hall" room. The bathroom was done in wonderful 1920s hexagonal black and white tiles which I would give anything to have in my own bathroom at home. Some of the rooms have signs on the doors to tell you the names of celebrities who've stayed there: did you get the Mickey Rooney Room? There's a warning sign beside the shower, alerting you to the fact that water temperature may fluctuate from hot to cold or vice versa, and the "balcony" overlooking the street is not large enough for a two-year-old to stand on, and I loved every moment I stayed at this hotel and would go back any day. Look for the stuffed wildcat over the elevator door.
