  • The Shin-Onomichi Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge with an overall length of 546 meters including a center span of 215 meters. Since the bridge would be constructed along with the Onomichi Bridge (built in 1968), which was a symbolic structure of the Onomichi city, the new bridge design focused on a harmony with the existing bridge and surrounding environment.
