It consists of the Miocene aged limestones, and located at Meydancikkale to the south of the Taseli Plateau, surrounded by Göksu to the east, the Ermenek Brook to the north. According to Yigitbasoglu, it had been inhabited since the Hittite Period. Archaeological excavations are carried out by A. Davenes in the vicinity of the cave, which is located inside the settlement, 15 m deeper than the surface. It can be accessed by an artificial shaft of 2x3 m in diameter and 29 m in depth. The function of this shaft is not clear yet. Carbonated wooden pieces used by men were recovered. The bottom is filled with rocks, and they are tried to be taken out, but the bottom has not been reached yet. It mainly consists of two sections with two chambers to northeast while there is a hall in the southwest direction. The hall is adorned with many stalactites, stalagmites and columns. The archaeological excavations in the shaft where the cave is located, are still ongoing, and it is expected to find another cave at deeper sections [Yigitbasoglu 1992:41].
