  • Originally land belongs to the Govt.of Maharashtra and leased to Mahindra & Mahindra to set up industries. Otis was a M&M group company and later became a UTC company.To take undue advantage of Liberalisation, Otis illegally transferred the land to United White Metal Company along with the union covered employees. The transfer of the company and the transfer of the employees were challenged by the employees affected at Industrial court and High court and is still pending and the land is under dispute.Meantime 2 out of 3 manufacturing sheds and office building were demolished by Otis/United white Metal.
