This park is one of the City’s oldest and most popular parks. The very large shade trees that cover the entire park offer a safe haven from the valley’s high summer temperatures. The park offers a new very large playground area, ADA drinking compliant fountain, 2 tennis courts, which will be resurfaced in the spring of 2008, 10 newly renovated horseshoe pits, a restroom facility, which will be replaced with a new modular building in the summer of 2008, a half court basketball area, perimeter sidewalks, security lighting, several large and small picnic areas with barbeques, which can be reserved, open spaces for play, mature large shade trees and a park identification sign. The playground is scheduled to be renovated in the 2007/2008 fiscal year.
