Former Scandia Sibiu factory

Short history:
1922, Josef Theil - German citizen recognized in the guild of sausage producers in Sibiu, establishes the factory of meat preparations and canned meat Theil (at the current address 45, Morilor)
1941, Theil Factory becomes Scandia Română, new modern buildings are built and the factory expands to the current numbers 24, 24A Strada Morilor.
2010, Scandia becomes Scandia Food, following one of the most complex rebranding processes for a Romanian company.

Currently the factory operates at 133 Strada Podului www.scandia.ro/en/

In 2021 an urban plan was created to reconfigure the old factory, a mixed residential, office, commercial, hotel, by demolishing worthless factory buildings, valuing the old buildings from the 1940s but also the creation of a new street.
