The Old Marco Inn is second on the list. On April 17, 1998, the preservation board voted unanimously to nominate the inn as historically significant in recognition of the important role the inn played in association with William D. "Capt. Bill" Collier in the settlement of Marco Island and Collier County.

The structure is an excellent example of Queen Anne architecture, and is one of the few remaining 19th century wood hotels in South Florida. The original structure was a small wood residence, which was enlarged in 1896. The Inn was also remodeled in 1927 to a style that closely resembles the current structure. The Inn is located on Marco Island at the northeast corner of Palm Street and Edington and is still in operation as a restaurant.
