A pass through the Bluestack Mountains. The main road (N15) between Donegal and Letterkenny passes through here, as well as a now disused railway line. A proper pass, Biddy's pub is less than 100 m ASL and the road passes between two mountains over 450 m (Croaghonagh, 451 m to the east, and Croaghconnellagh, 523 m to the west).
