The place is a market that sells almost every thing from food to electronics and households to handicrafts. It is more or less similar to Sunday markets in London.
The market sells fresh vegetables and fruits as well.
The prices are relatively cheaper compared to the regular market as might be expected. However, you still have to bargain and do not take the given price for granted.
Although, the market some times is so crowded, but a friendly atmosphere is well kept.
The market convenes three days a week and at least six hours a day.
The name comprises two words, "Souk", which the Arabic word of Market and "Libya" as the neighboring country to Tunisia in the east.The market given the name as the Libyan market since most of its goods and merchandises smuggled from Libya through the boarders.
