A Jodi-Grama that submerged after a dam was constructed across river Hemavati. It was under the administration of a bhramin family for 4 generations starting Subba Bhatta, Venkata Subba Bhatta, Subramanya and finally his two sons Nagaraja and Venkatasubbaiah who in their 30's moved out of the village after the reservoir project was announced.

Besides constructing the road that connected Hole Basavanahalli to the Gorur-Arkalagud state highway, Subramanya was instrumental in establishing a post office and a school in his village.
