This site was occupied from 1702-1726 then later moved to Oka on the north side of the lake.
The Ille-aux-Tourte site consisted of a small village and a stockade attached to a small stone fort.
All that remains visible is stone cellar and an extensive defensive wall.
There are plans to recreate the site.
