Nelson Island or Leipzig Island or Nelson's Isles or O'Cain's Island or Strachans Island is an island 12 miles (19 km) long and 7 miles (11 km) wide, lying southwest of King George Island in the South Shetland Islands. Nelson Island is located at 62°18′S, 59°03′W. The name Nelson Island dates back to at least 1821 and is now established in international usage.
