Lars Färgares farm is one of the few wooden buildings which escaped the fire in the town of Umeå in 1888. The farm came to Gammlia in 1958 from an area in central Umeå who formerly named Trangsund. The shorter limb of the L-shaped building was probably constructed in the late 1700s. The part was used as a residence and business. The building's long party was built in stages during the 1800s.
