  • Nakasaleka is the name used across a few closely related things. It is the name for the 'Tikina' that encompasses eleven villages - Nakoronawa, Lomanikoro, Nakaunakoro, Nakaugasele, Kavala, Lawaki, Solotavui, Tiliva, Matasawalevu, Nukuvou, Vacalea. There are also small 'unofficial' villages / settlements that identify with Nakasaleka (for example Lagalevu) where the head man attends Nakasaleka Tikina meetings. There are also several villages side by side, overlapping almost, around Nakoronawa village - and that grouping of adjacent villages also gets referred to as Nakasaleka. So that explains Nakasaleka as a Tikina 'Makawa'. Nakasaleka is also the name for the Tikina 'Cokavata' which includes all the above but also includes the villages situated on the small islands in the very close by Ono group (Tikina Makawa of Ono). The Tikina Makawa Nakasaleka is one of nine Tikinas that are the traditional equivalent of city councils within Kadavu Province. The Tikina Cokavata Nakasaleka is one of four Tikina Cokavatas within the Kadavu province. The island of Kadavu and the small Ono islands etc. are all captured together in that province within the meaning of general government of Fiji. There are also provincial councils, administrators etc. It all falls within the 'Eastern Division' of the government. Hope this helps.   • i believe that the Paramount of the 2 will the Tui Nakasa Lomanikoro, subjected to the amount of power that his Majesty over the people. The Tui Nakasa Nakoronawa royal line is shared, meaning that 2 families hone the title. The first family will have the now, when the Tui Nakasa dies the second family will ascend the throne until the next recent Tui Nakasa dies.

  • @ Feiih Ravula Walai - Ratu Inoke Qalomaiwasa has two sons and I guess that the Nakoronawa decendants don't seem to recognize this fact.I believe that the Tui Nakasa Lomanikoro Family still exist and the Nakoronawa Family is trying to lead. Do you think this is correct?
