Deltaport is part of Port Metro Vancouver and is the largest container terminal in Canada. Deltaport currently has 10 container cranes and three ship berths, and covers 85 hectares. Deltaport is undergoing an expansion to increase its capacity by 33% by 2014, when it will be able to handle 2.4 million TEUs per year.

The coal terminal is Westshore Terminal, and exports metallurgical and thermal coals mined in BC and Alberta (and recently, minor amounts from Wyoming) to world markets. Westshore is the largest export coal terminal in North America, with a capacity to handle up to 29 million tonnes of coal per year (being expanded to 33 mt) at its two deep-sea berths. The facility has four stacker-reclaimers and three shiploaders.
