A section of the Arnhem Land Plateaux on Jawoyn Aboriginal Land which has just recently been declared as an area of environmental significance. The Plateau division is formed by kambolgie sandstone and also covers much of the Pine Creek, Mary River, Nitmiluk and Eva Valley areas. The proposal to bring this area within stage 3 of Kakadu National Park are currently being discussed between the government and traditional land owners.
