First opening as a natatorium in 1880, it also served as a Turkish bath, an indoor ice skating rink (one of only six in the world in 1894), a concert hall complete with a roof garden, a theater for live entertainment and a movie palace. Has been closed for 20 years, with the roof collapsing in 1998.
Is currently under consideration for redevelopment into offices and residences.
