Wirral Peninsula

Pronounced with the 'i' sounding like the 'i' in 'With'. The Wirral is located between the estuaries of the River Dee and the River Mersey. The largest settlement is Birkenhead, and there are many commuter towns for Liverpool. It is part of the county of Merseyside.
