this was one of the oldest schools in garhwalthe other being silogi in this area. the school has beautiful surrounding from dhanpurdhar to purya(old name of bazar of kanskhet). school had long english tradition of holding rainy day etc. there used to be local mela on 15th august in the school when all villagers used to enjoy. the school do not have data base of students but i know many friends who are armed force officers, engineers, doctors and government/public sector officers. in old days i remember some thing about the water of area which spread KHAIDA(A light skin disease), but gradually boys overcome it. the school had boarding arrangements. i had been student of school from 1966 to 1970
