Trinitarians were established in Antakalnis in 1693 by Kazimieras Jonas Sapiega (Jan Kazimierz Sapieha the Elder) who funded the building of church and monastery. Pietro Perti decorated the interier in 1700–1705. The church and monatery were turned into ortodox church of St. Archangel Michael in 1864. In 1919 catholics retreived the church. During 1929–1931 sculptor Piotr Hermanowicz decorated the church. It was closed during soviet ocupation, currently returned to monastery.
