The Askøy Bridge (Askøybrua) is a suspension bridge between Laksevåg in Bergen to Askøy in Hordaland county in Norway. It has the longest span of any Norwegian bridge, although it is not the longest suspension bridge in Norway. The bridge is 1057 metres long, the main span is 850 metres, and the clearance to the sea is 62 metres. The bridge has 7 spans.
Askøy bridge was opened in December 1992. It was a toll bridge until November 18, 2006. Since it ceased to be a toll bridge, the traffic over the bridge has increased greatly and as of 2008 it had a daily average traffic of 15,821 vehicles (www.vegvesen.no/binary?id=162966).
