Gorgeous park in the middle of Gateshead. Free entry, plenty of grass to play football and lovely to walk around. Known for years as 'The People's Park' its 55 acres have won many accolades since its refurbishment.

Saltwell Park Community Portal

Saltwell Park has a new non-profit community portal website. The site is run by an ever growing editing team who are committed to bringing up to date news and events for Saltwell Park.
New members are always welcome at any level be it to add content or simply to browse the site and keep updated with events.
Saltwell Park Community Portal website features over 2000 photographs and includes a kids area which includes games and park facts. Kids can download activity sheets and parents can get some ideas of how to plan the perfect day out with all the Saltwell Park has to offer.
The aim of the website is as a source of information and the building of a growing online community.
