Holker Hall is a country house with a celebrated garden situated on the Cartmel Peninsula, is the home of Lord and Lady Cavendish situated a short distance from Grange-over-Sands and the expanse of Morecambe Bay. Holker is a Norse word, which can be translated as 'a rising in marshy land'.
