The entrance to the post war Borough Control Centre at Paddington is located in the middle of a flower bed on Paddington Green. It consists of a wedge shaped entrance block concealing the stairway down into the bunker. This block measures 5.1M X 1.2M. The entrance doorway on one side has been bricked up and rendered over. There is a small opening in the opposite side wall. 18 metres south east is a ventilation shaft, also concealed in a flower bed. This measures 1M X 1M X .8 metre high with two open vents.

  • I once saw a tourist attraction sign saying "Secret Bunker" pointing down a country lane. That certainly tells us a lot about British security!
