Aqua Park began construction in 2005, after the acquisition of 7 ha in Block 44 by Vladimir Janković and Žarko Paspalj. Paspalj quickly left the project, and work ceased in 2006.The plan provided for the construction of a sports and recreation center. The idea was for the aqua park to occupy five hectares, to have 11 pools, 21 slides, 6,500 square meters of surface water, 8,000 cubic meters of water, as well as the largest indoor pool in Europe, with an area of 1,600 square meters. A bowling alley, a skating rink, courts for team sports, as well as the highest "kamikaze" in Europe, 20 meters high, were also announced. Efforts to interest other developers failed. In 2010, the City of Belgrade passed a decision on confiscating the land.
