This complex of four towers includes Commerce Court West (CCW), with 57-storeys and rising 237m (287m to antenna), making it Canada's tallest building for 1972-1976. Constructed in 1972 and designed by I.M. Pei it houses the world HQ of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). CCW is adjacent to a 1930 34-storey renaissance revival-style tower, built for the HQ of the Commerce Bank of Canada, precursor to CIBC, and now known as Commerce Court North (CCN).
The complex also includes 13-storey Commerce Court East (CCE) and 5-storey Commerce Court South (CCS).
