Runway 01/19 (City of Brisbane, QLD)

Australia / Queensland / Brisbane / City of Brisbane, QLD

A new Parallel Runway will be created between the International airport and the Domestic airport.
The airport chief has the project under way, although Prime minister Kevin Rudd clearly indicate that he wants this project to be on hold. He said this new parallel runway will create noise and distraction to the neighbour hood. And he is concern about this.

Oh though the president chief of the Brisbane airport wants this runway to be buoit as soon as possible. Its an ideal and a must to be created because the new airbus planes and also to be used for jumbo airliners. Chief said the project plan must be made sometime soon and not cancel it as he said it is a procist must for this runway to be built in the future as the airport becomes busier and more people are coming to Queensland every day.

At the moment PM doesn't want this new runway to be built as yet. But indication of meeting reviews may go ahead later on.
The new parallel runway will stretch as far from International airport to the Domestic airport.
An i deal for the new airbus planes which needs a larger scale of runway - Otherwise if this pararel runway was never to be completed.. then the new airbus planes will be taking the complete runway from int and domestic airport which will lead on delays and hold ups for the rest of the other planes such as Int and domestic runways from arrival to departure and that will be a very concern for the brisbane airport as this runway has to be made its standard due to he fact the new airbus planes does need a larger scale runway and not the allready exsisting ones as these will indeed delay every day travel for passengers in and out of the airport...

And im sure no one wants to see delays and time waste just because of that.

At this stage this project has been plan but there is no dates or news as to when it will go ahead.
Do tell us your say about this new project.
