The village Kullankylä was populated by Ingrians and Finns. According to the peace treaty of Tartu 2 february 1920 the village was divided by the border between Estonia and Soviet Russia. In the middle of the 1930:s the population on the Russian side was deported or forced to resettle and the buildings were teared down. The Estonian side of the village had some 30 huoses. During the second world war the inhabitants fled and the village was destroyed. Today the area is desolate.
