This little strip of homes on Old County Road between Crockett and Rodeo is the last remnant of a community that once included an elementary school and many more houses. The nearby refinery has been buying these homes one by one for the past decade. The refinery has been the target of lawsuits over the years regarding chemical releases and damage to residents. It is unknown if the refinery would like to clear out the homes and expand or just get rid of home owners and potential lawsuits.
