Originally built for $6 million in 1985 by the local Polish community and known as Polonia Centre the property was acquired by members of the Francophone community in 1990 for $3.25 million.

With a membership of over 800 the facility includes banquet halls and a bar. Cultural activities include the annual St. Jean Baptist Festival and the Francophone Festival. Tenants include Association Canadienne Francaise de l'Ontario and College Boreal.
