An easy 3 mile hike gets you a commanding view of surrounding desert plains and mountain ranges. The top of Signal Peak sits at an elevation of 4800 feet, while the surrounding desert is at about 2000 feet or lower. To the west, you can see at least 6 successive mountain ranges on a clear day, extending over 120 miles to the west into California. To the east, the sharp and scraggly peaks of the Kofa mountains extend for ten's of miles for additional impressive views. There is a well-built hearth at the top, so it is reasonable to camp out for the night on top of the peak.
