Dr. Subramanian, one of the earliest family physicians of Tellicherry. Popularly known as "Pattar Doctor". Dr. Subramanian is the son of Dr.A.S. Vaidyanatha Iyer, who is one of the first two doctors of Tellicherry. Dr. Subramanian, is considered by many of his patients as a family counselor more than a family physician. ( The 3rd Rly Gate near to their house is called "Pattar Gate").

Dr. Subramanian, passed away on June 21, 2008 at the age of 87, after a brief illness.
