  • The bit about the motorway being the runway is an Urban Myth, but not by much. The actual runway was just north of the line of the motorway (and on exactly the same alignment). My family get buried in Arkleston Cemetery and I remember the distance to the runway. You can see one end as a crop mark in Cockelsloan Park. The bit about the site of the terminal is right, though, and you can see some tarmac to the south east corner of the KGV Playing fields
