  • I attended Bhairavnath Palkhi in March 2007. The palkhi is accompanied by temple priest, godman, devotees & decorated horses & bullocks. The palkhi heads to nearby Donjai Godess Temple and comes back to Bahirewadi. There are 4 shashan kathi (holy decorated bamboo sticks). Devotees carry these sticks to the temple and kept for display. The palkhi takes a pause when it arrives the Jadhav / Patil wada. It takes a hault, the drums and shehanai is played. Ladies dressed in traditional dress welcome the God's - palkhi and do pooja. Offerings are made to the God for prosperity and goodness. The palkhi then comes back to the Bhairavnath Temple. The whole event is full of energy and action. I enjoyed attending the Palkhi with a promise to return back the next year.
  • thank you sir
