    When my father lived in Aberdeen he and some hardy friends used to swim here every working day of the year, until we moved to Glasgow in 1942.

    My father was born in Aberdeen in 1915, hence my interest in the city. He was born in a Cottage on an estate, Rose Cottage. Anyone heard of it? I'm sure the beach would be a good spot for surfers - good rollers.
